ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A recent rash of armed robberies in Albany continues at a gas station. Police were called to the Kwik Way Food Store in the 800 block of North Jefferson at about 9:40 PM Saturday night.

A store clerk told officers that a black male in a black mask and gloves entered the store with a silver handgun and told him to open the register. That's when he took all of the money and took off running East on 2nd Avenue.

The clerk told police the robber got away with at least $800 dollars. The suspect is about 6'2" and was last seen wearing a black shirt with green shorts. If you have any information call crime stoppers at 229-436-TIPS.
