Athens - You can make the Georgia Bulldogs an almost unanimous preseason number one team heading into the 2008 season.
The Bulldogs edge out Ohio State for the top spot in the Associated Press preseason college football.
The first time in school history that has happened.
The big preseason expectations led to a big turnout for the annual picture day festivities in Athens.
Everyone turnED to get an autograph from the favorite Bulldog player and of couse head coach Mark Richt.
The man who has built the Bulldogs into the national championship contender.
Georgia is the preseason number one in the A.P., USA Today coaches and Sports Illustrated preseason polls.
Coach Richt likes the honor but knows it will mean nothing if the Bulldogs don't take care of busisnees when the season starts.
Mark Richt said "It is an honor but with that honor comes responsibility to try to maintain that view."
Georgia opens the season two weeks against Georgia Southern.
Game time is 12:30p.m. and the game is on pay-per-view television.
