Valdosta - The sharpies were busy at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium Saturday morning.
Valdosta State fans wanting autographs from their Division II national champion Blazer football team at their annual fan day.
The event started with the national champs leading a youth football clinic and ended with the players signing team photos, footballs and the back of t-shirts.
Many of these fans say they will be back at the stadium for next week's season opener.
And the grateful Blazers are hoping they can treat their fans to a win.
Quarterback Tucker Pruitt said "It seems like to me there is a lot more people here than last year. So, obviously we are growing and to see the excitement they have and the love for football and everybody having a good time. It is great."
Receiver Cedric Jones said "Oh yes I see the excitement everywhere. Just look at the little kids running around, smiling and are happy about everything. It is good to be able to just do this for the kids and for everybody in the community."
Offensive tackle Davis Nall said "And there are high expectations too. Which is good. We have got to live up to them. It is good."
Valdosta State plays the first football game in the nation next Saturday night against Fort Valley State.
