Fitzgerald - Fitzgerald High school will celebrate their 100th season of football this fall.
Chances are number 100 could be very special for Robby Pruitt's Purple Hurricanes.
Fitzgerald has 15 starters back from last year's team that won ten games and finished second in rugged region 1-AA.
The Purple Hurricanes have nine of those starters back including the entire backfield.
Jemea Thomas leads a stable of game breaking running backs for Fitzgerald and is also the leader on defense at safety.
The defense also returns their leading tackler in linebacker Omar Daniels.
Coach Robby Pruitt is concerned about a lack of size on his team but there is no lack of desire on the Purple Hurricanes roster.
Robby Pruitt said "We have got some kids who have been in the program and it is their turn to shine. We are not quite as the kids we have coming back don't have the size as the kids we lost . Hopefully we will make up for it with quickness and effort and those type of things."
Fitzgerald opens the season in two weeks against arch-rival Irwin County.
