ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two close calls in South Albany overnight when gunshots were fired into houses.

Just after midnight, 11 year old Kenautica Mitchell was cut when this window on Davidson Drive was blown out by a shotgun blast.

Police believe a jealous ex-girlfriend of a man in the house fired the shots.

About 20 minutes later, in an apparently unrelated shooting, at least two bullets were fired into a home on Gaines Avenue.

One bullet lodged in the wall just inches above the bed where 19 year old Jonathan Williams was sleeping.

His 22 year old brother told Police that the shots were fired from a black car outside the house. He said two more shots were fired before the car drove off.

No one's been arrested.
