VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Police in one south Georgia city will soon have some new crime fighting tools.

Senator Saxby Chambliss presented a $30,000 grant to the Ray City Police and Mayor Carl Camon Wednesday afternoon.

Camon says the money will be used to purchase surveillance equipment and other tools that will help them in their efforts to get drugs and drug dealers off the streets.

He says the fight against drugs has been an ongoing battle and the money will provide some much needed assistance.

We'll catch up with Senator Chambliss Thursday when he presents another grant to the City of Remerton.
