ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The search is on for the Albany teenager shot while trying to break into cars.

Nineteen-year-old Charles Henderson the third was released from the hospital Monday, three days after warrants were issued for his arrest.

Henderson was shot outside the Quality Inn/Merry Acres July 29th.

He was hospitalized for 12 days, then released. But WALB News 10 has learned that Albany Police had taken warrants for his arrest last Friday.

But those warrants weren't served because of an apparent miscommunication between police and the sheriff's office.

The two warrants charge Henderson with breaking into two cars in the days leading up to the shooting.
