ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The price of gas dropped for the 26th day in a row. The price of Diesel is also down dramatically over the past month.

The average price for diesel fuel fell to $4.52 a gallon from $4.54 the day before, according to AAA. Diesel was $4.21 a gallon at the Pilot truck stop in East Albany Tuesday morning.

The price of diesel is still up 54% in the last year. That's contributed greatly to driving up the prices of all sorts of products and services.

"It effects everybody, everybody at home when they buy their personal goods in the retail stores. It effects everybody. It's not just the truckers. Everybody is involved. It's good. I think gas and diesel should go down to where everyone can meet their needs,"  said trucker David Justice.

The drop in gas prices is attributed to the lower price of crude oil. It fell more than $34 a barrel since hitting a record high of a little more than $147 last month.
