ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Containers of acidic, drain cleaner, prescription drugs; components used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine found inside an Albany motel room.

A tip lead the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit to the meth lab around 8:00 Monday night. ADDU and GBI agents swarmed room 313 at the Knights Inn on Schley Avenue where they uncovered and seized the lab along with meth already manufactured.

Guests staying in nearby rooms had to be evacuated while HAZMAT crews dismantled the lab, tested the air quality, and removed the dangerous chemicals from inside.

The raid lead to police 37-year-old James Matthew Zeechini. He's charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing of methamphetamine, and cruelty to animals. He's being held in the Dougherty County Jail on those charges.
