ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County Commissioners reaffirm their wishes to four lane a busy highway in South Georgia. They plan to send a letter to the state department of Transportation in support of four laning highway 133 from Albany to Valdosta.

Property acquisition is already underway, but they want the state to keep the project at the top of it's priority list. Chairman Jeff Sinyard says the road improvements are critical to businesses in South Georgia and to homeland safety.
