ALBANY, GA (WALB) - South Georgians reach out to help a little boy from Ty Ty who needed plastic surgery and 200 stitches on his face after his neighbor's dog attacked him. Five year old Larry Pullen is recovering, but his family is struggling to pay medical bills and travel expenses to doctors in Macon. After our stories WALB got a lot of calls and e-mails of viewers who want to help the Pullens. Faith by Grace, an Albany gospel singing group is planning a benefit concert. They hope to have a date set in the next couple of weeks.
"We saw this little boy on the news that got attacked by the dog and we wanted to be able to help the family because we understand the family needs financial assistance cause they have to travel back and forth for his medical treatments. That's what our group is mainly about, helping out those that are less fortunate," says Mary Thompson, the spokesperson for Faith by Grace.
Faith by Grace is still looking for a church to host the event and restaurants to cater the food. If you want to help, contact Mary Thompson at 229-886-1155. Right now a fund is not in place for the Pullen's. However, if you wish to contact Molly Pullen regarding donations, call 229-326-4313. Feedback
