VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The race for the District One Commission seat in Lowndes County isn't over yet.

Tuesday night, Joyce Evans beat incumbent Edgar Roberts by just 63 votes.

It's unlikely, but with more than 100 provisional and military ballots left to county there's still a chance Roberts could come out on top.

"We've got 132 provisional ballots and 48  hours to check those and see if they'll be counted.  Military votes are still coming in.  The Commission District One race is within 63 votes so that could definitely affect the outcome," says election supervisor Deb Cox.

The official tally will be announced Friday afternoon.
