Albany - Monroe coach Charles Truitt has some rebuilding work to do this summer.
The Tornadoes losing players like Sherman Stephens and David Noel who led Monroe to a region title in 2006 and a second place finish last year.
Coach Truitt believes Justin Pride could surprise fans with his play at quarterback and Tim Jackson leads an experienced receiving corps.
Jackson will lead the secondary of a very good Tornado defense that faces a tougher road with a region that has added Peach County and Perry.
Charles Truitt said "We had some guys that played a lot last year that are coming back. So, we hope we can fill that hole but it is a big hole to fill. I think the kids are working hard. I think they are dedicated and I think we have a chance."
Monroe opens the season against Kendrick High on August 29th at Mills Stadium.
