CAMILLA, GA (WALB) -  The First United Ethanol plant in Camilla will open in just a few months.   Before they do, they want top notch training for their employees.

That's why they signed a training agreement Thursday with Southwest Georgia Technical College and Georgia's Quick Start program.

The plant already has a facility for professors to conduct on sight training.  "You want to have people ready and in the right spot to learn what they'll be learning. Our job, some of these process technicians jobs will involve some chemistry. And most of us haven't had chemistry since 10th grade in high school. You'll need a little refresher course to be able to be up to speed accept the information a little bit quicker," explained Murray Campbell, C.E.O of FUEL.

FUEL is in the process of hiring the first 30 employees out of 50 total. They want to begin production October.
