ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A man was arrested after a strange burglary in Albany. The suspect told police he broke into a business because he owned the place.

Glass was still on the ground Monday evening at the Harley Davidson shop on Old Dawson Road where a side window was broken with a stick.

Albany Police responded to an alarm about 8 Monday morning. 30-year-old Tracy Damerow actually let them in through the front door.

He was inside sweeping up the broken glass and told officers he recently found out from watching television and reading the newspaper that he owns the business.

Damerow said he got tired of waiting for a key to the business so he rode his bicycle from Sylvester and broke in. The real store owner told police he has no clue who Damerow is.

He's now charged with burglary.
