ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Dougherty County car thief is also the suspect in a hit and run that injured a 14-year-old boy. Now both Dougherty County and Albany Police are looking for that driver tonight.
Saturday night, a 1994 Fleetwood Cadillac was reported stolen to the Albany Police Department. Police say several hours later, a little after 11:30 PM that car hit 14-year-old Amaud Timpson as he was crossing the 300 block of Holly Drive.
Timpson is in fair condition at Phoebe Putney where he was treated for abrasions, lacerations, and a head injury. Early Sunday morning Albany Police found that Cadillac parked in the Rivercrest Apartment complex.
The car was processed for evidence and returned to the owner. If you have any information about this incident call the Dougherty County Police Department at 229-430-4600
