Albany - Albany State coach Mike White is not happy about the fact that his Golden Rams are not defending conference champions.
Albany State is ready to get to work to reclaim the SIAC title.
Bad news for the Rams is SIAC head coaches think Albany State will finish second to Tuskegee for a second straight year.
The Tigers getting seven of the nine first place votes while Albany State got just one first place vote.
Albany State had eight players make the coaches pre-season team.
Offensive lineman Montrell Neal, defensive lineman Develle Miller and defensive backs Terry McGhee and Mario Fuller were all first team selections.
Running back LiRonie Davis, tight end Larry Johnson, offensive lineman Marcus Pressly and defensive back Brian Richardson were second team pre-season picks by the SIAC coaches.
Albany State opens the season August 30th against Shaw University.
