ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An HIV positive inmate at the Dougherty County jail has been sentenced to serve 20 years in prison for trying to bite two Dougherty County jailers. 35-year old Edlendco Green was found guilty in a bench trial on charges of reckless conduct by an HIV infected person, and starting a riot in a penal institution.

Prosecutors say Green tried to bite two jailers November 3, 2006, touching off a riot in the jail. He received 20 years for reckless conduct and another five to be served concurrent for starting a riot.
