VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Governor Sonny Perdue wants all Georgians to get out and vote for Valdosta, to be named Title Town USA.
The City was named one of ESPN's top 20 sports communities in the nation.
Valdosta is now competing against cities like Green Bay, Boston and New York.
Valdosta is known as Winnersville,with the winningest high school football team in the nation.
VSU and Lowndes High football teams have also won a number of championships.
Now the Governors says he needs your help to bring the Title Town trophy to Georgia.
"I can't think of a more deserving community. I hope all Georgians, not only the Lowndes County area, not only in the South Georgia area, but I thinK Georgians overall ought to log on and vote for Valdosta as Title Town USA," says Gov. Perdue.
Voting has been extended through Sunday July 27th.
