ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County police are investigating a bizarre claim of copper wire theft.
Lisa Price told Dougherty County Police investigators her father's house at 6115 Elliott Drive was burglarized.
She says a vacuum cleaner, TV, fan and a computer all had copper wiring ripped out of them, totaling more than $1,700 dollars in damage.
Police say they've never heard of copper thieves tearing apart appliances to get to the wiring inside.
