ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A 14-year-old Worth County girl had to be rescued from an overturned car on U.S. 19 North Tuesday morning.
It happened around 8:45 on Highway 19 near Holly Drive. Police say the driver, 42-year-old Charlotte Brooks, was headed north and attempted to pass a car, lost control of her Ford Contour and crossed into the median, became airborne and landed upside down.
Her daughter, Tabitha Needham, was trapped in the passenger seat and had to be cut out.
"I don't know whether she hit the shoulder of the road, but she lost control got down into the median, skidded and then flipped multiple times," said Dougherty County Police Chief Don Cheek
Brooks and her daughter are listed good condition at Phoebe. Brooks is charged with failure to maintain lane.
