ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Strong winds and heavy rain caused storm damage in Lee and Dougherty counties Monday afternoon.

About 3:30, a powerful thunderstorm hit the Forester Parkway area in Lee County, causing tree damage.

Several oak trees were uprooted in Dean Ford's yard. One of them fell on his boat dock, causing more damage.

Ford said the rain and wind only lasted about one minute, but  they must have been very powerful.

Also on Forester, more trees snapped in two by winds at this home currently under construction.

We also have reports of damage from winds on Pretoria Road in South Dougherty County.
