ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A former south Georgia judge, a court administrator and attorney all pleaded not guilty to federal fraud charges Monday.

Former Clinch County Judge Berrien Sutton and his wife, former court administrator Lisa Sutton walked out of the Albany federal courthouse hand in hand after meeting with probation officials.

Berrien Sutton is accused of accepting a token job as juvenile judge and doing little or no work to earn his $42,000 annual salary.

Lisa Sutton is accused of taking money from a court program for divorced parents.

Clinch County Attorney George Bessonette is accused of collecting a salary as law clerk while performing few of the duties and accepting under the table payments from Berrien Sutton.

No trial date has yet been set.
