Albany All-Star team wins Dixie Youth state baseball title

Augusta -  The Albany American Dixie Youth All-Stars staged a big comeback in the state tournament on Saturday.

After dropping the first game of the championship series to Newton County on Friday, Albany American won games two and three to win the state championship for 11-12 year olds.

Albany American won game one 12-2 and took the deciding game three 6-5.

The state champion Albany American team heads to the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series which this year is in LaGrange.

The Georgia state champions will open against Louisiana on August 4th.
