Albany - The South Georgia Wildcats have something else to play for in this week's game at Peoria.
The Wildcats clinched a playoff berth for a second straight year with last week's 55-34 win over Oklahoma City.
That victory ran the Wildcats winning streak to five games. I
f the Wildcats can make it six in a row this Saturday in Central Illinois, they will clinch no worse than the fourth playoff seed in the AF2's American Conference.
That means the Wildcats would host a first round playoff game.
Head coach Derek Stingley will take a first round playoff game if it means his team runs that winning streak to six games.
Derek Stingley said "It just so happens and I understand that if we win this next game, we are guaranteed a home game. Anything about this next game I am not concerned about. It is winning against Peoria right now."
The Wildcats play at Peoria Saturday night at 8:00 p.m..
