ALBANY, GA (WALB) - More than  two thousand people took part in early voting in Dougherty County this week. As of late Friday afternoon, 2099 people had voted early for next Tuesdays primaries.

Connie Adams will be out of town next week, but she wanted to make sure she voiced her opinion in the races before she left. She said, "I think it's wonderful and I like the fact you don't have to have an excuse for voting, if it's just more convenient to do so, they're able to do that so I like taking advantage of it." Early voting ended Friday at five.

All precincts will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM on Tuesday. Remember, you have to bring a photo ID to vote.
