ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Three leaders of an Albany Street Gang will spend five years in prison after pleading guilty to gang and aggravated assault charges.
Gang task force leaders now say they brought down 15 gang members after a highly publicized raid last year. 20-year old Phildrick Davis, his 19-year old brother Lorenzo Davis, and 18-year old James Williams pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and gang participation.
Gang task force leaders say their names were included in the C-M-E Rattlers book of knowledge captured during a citywide gang house raid May 3, 2007. Dougherty Chief Assistant D.A. and Gang Task Force leader Greg Edwards said "We used this roster to systematically go through this entire sect. We've really taken a big bite out of the Rattler's Gang. It's taken time, but it's come to fruition."
Phildrick Davis, known as Big Phil, had the rank of four star general in the Rattlers. Lorenzo Davis was the Violation King, or the enforcer.
All three were sentenced to five years in prison, 20 years on probation, and ordered never to have contact with other gang members.
