ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany man, who is H-I-V positive, is found guilty but mentally incompetent for trying to bite two Dougherty County jailers.
35-year old Edlendco Green was found guilty in a bench trial on charges of reckless conduct by an H-I-V infected person, and starting a riot in a penal institution.
But Judge Stephen Goss ruled Green is mentally ill.
He was found not guilty of aggravated assault.
Prosecutors say Green tried to bite two jailers November 3, 2006, touching off a riot in the jail.
Green will be sentenced July 24th.
