Valdosta - ESPN's search for "Title Town USA" will bring them to Winnersville Wednesday.
The sports network is visiting 20 best sports communities around the nation.
Valdosta fits the bill.
The Valdosta Wildcats remain the winningest high school football team in the sports history. The VSU Blazer football team won the National Championship last year. The same weekend the Lowndes Vikings won the State football championship.
The community hopes these wins will help them earn the Title Town name.
"We had Winnersville title since 1970 because of the Wildcats but in the mean time, Lowndes has come on real strong, the VSU Blazers are real strong. So its been just a great winning community all these years," says former Wildcat and sports fan David Waller.
A pep rally will be begin at Bazemore-Hyder stadium at 3:30 PM Wednesday. Sportscenter will begin taping at 6:00.
The "Title Town" winner will be announced on Sportscenter Sunday July 26th.
