ALBANY, GA (WALB) - You can vote in next week's election this week. Early voting started Monday for the July 15th primaries. In Albany, you can vote between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM at the Riverfront Resource Center at 125 Pine Avenue. So far, voting has been heavy and is expected to pick up by the end of the week.

Noel Buttner said, "It's their choice if they don't want to go to their polling place. Sometimes it's faster, sometimes it's not." If you're hoping for shorter lines, the earlier in the week you vote, the better.

Remember when you go to vote, you'll have to chose a democratic or republican ballot. There is only one Dougherty County republican race, and that's for Dougherty County school board. Check with the election officials in your county for the location and times for early voting, and don't forget a picture ID.
