ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Masons made sure some senior citizens enjoyed an Independence Day Celebration Thursday.
Masons from the Pride of Albany masonic lodge 360 showed up at Hudson Malone towers downtown. They sang and prayed for the residents, then served them a good meal. "Those are the things that we're charged to do, to give back to the community, because we're members of the community," said Antonio Quall. Jeff Hall said, "this is just our way of saying thank you to the community and giving back to them."
The masons help different organizations throughout the year. They say despite the slow economy, they haven't received more requests than usual for assistance.
