ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A south Georgia man held hostage in South America for more than five years is free.
Keith Stansell was being held a rebel militia group in Colombia.
The Miller County man was working as a U. S. government contractor on an anti-drug mission when he was taken hostage after his plane crashed.
Two fellow contractors and eight other hostages were released Wednesday.
Stansell's children now live in Florida.
A family friend confirms that Stansell will be reunited with his family in Texas.
