8th man pleads guilty in multi-county indoor marijuana operation

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  A Lee County man is the eighth defendant this week to plead guilty in a ring that grew hundreds of marijuana plants inside several Lee and Terrell County homes.

Wednesday, Ray Moody pleaded guilty to conspiracy to manufacture more than 100 plants. Moody worked with Frank Spring in Lee County to maintain the indoor growing operations at 159 Brightwater Drive and 180 Fowler Drive.

Moody faces up to five years in prison and was taken into custody today. He will be sentenced in 60 days.
