ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Residents at an Albany assisted living facility celebrate their patriotism. Folks at Pines Personal Care home were treated to a cook-out and day of activities at the facility.

Members of SOWEGA council on the aging were also invited to attend and show off their red, white and blue in an Independence Day celebration.

Sandra Meadows said, "It just warms my heart. To see them enjoying something like this, it's special. It's good to just see them have a good time."

Residents of the care home played BINGO, and other games at the cook-out, and stayed in the shade out of direct sunlight.
