ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany family is displaced after lightening struck their home.

Albany firefighters were called out to 2823 Creedmoor Court Friday night after flames were ignited by a lightening strike.

Firefighters were able to contain that fire to the attic and garage, but not without heavy smoke and water damage. No one was injured.

Damage from the lightning strike is expected to cost the homeowners about 45,000 dollars.
