Albany - Expectations for the Georgia Bulldog football team this fall are about as high as Mount Everest.
Georgia is expected to start the season ranked very high in the national polls, maybe even number one in the nation.
Georgia fans are excited judging by the big turnout at Thursday's Albany Bulldog Club meeting.
Coach Mark Richt and basketball coaches Dennis Felton and Andy Landers signed autographs and talked about their upcoming seasons.
Of course, it is the football team that most fans wanted to hear about.
Georgia has plenty of talent returning from a team that finished second in the nation last year.
The big question is can Georgia contend for a national title playing one of the hardest schedules in the nation.
Mark Richt said "We have got everybody we play good enough to beat us. That is the bottom line. Everybody we play is good enough to beat us. We have got to find a way to get into some type of a groove where we are going to be playing at a high level week in and week out. Trying to find a way to sustain it as we go."
The tough schedule opens against 1-AA Georgia Southern.
That game starts at 12:30 p.m. on August 30th and will be televised on pay-per-view.
