BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Sheriff Wiley Griffin in Decatur County accepted a check for $40,000 of confiscated drug money.
Sheriff Sid Lockhard from Chambers County, Alabama handed him the money they seized during drug interdiction efforts the two offices worked together on earlier this year.
"It was a very successful operation. It was very good for us to network with other counties especially another state because criminals don't pay any attention to state lines and county lines," said Griffin.
The $40,000 is part of the $172,000 they seized total.
