Cordele - Here's another development in that ongoing federal investigation in the Alapaha Judicial Circuit.

A public defender in Cordele, who was indicted last week, is now suspended.

Tim Eidson was suspended with pay by the Georgia Public Defender Standards Council.

He's accused of asking Judge Brooks Blitch to fix a drug case involving his wife while he applied for his position in Cordele.

At the time, Eidson was an assistant district attorney in the Alapaha Circuit.

He's charged with obstruction of justice and making false statements.
