ALBANY, GA (WALB) - There are now two new ways to pay your Water, Gas, and Light bill-- over the phone or online.
Thanks to a new agreement with Western Union, WG&L customers don't have to wait in line or waste a stamp to pay their bill. The new billing procedure went into place last Monday.
Thanks to word of mouth, nearly a thousand customers have already taken advantage of the changes.
You'll get a flier in your bill to let you know about the changes.
"We are not charging a fee to our customers there are other companies that do charge fees but Water Gas and Light chose not to charges a fee or pass that fee along to customers," says Lorie Farkas, WG&L's V.P. of Customer Affairs.
WG&L says they wanted to first test the system before opening it to all customers.
So far, customers who have used the new payment methods have given positive feedback.
