THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomasville-based Flowers Foods will merge with Holsum Bakery, Incorporated. That's a family-owned business with two bakeries in the Phoenix, Arizona that has about $146 million in sales a year.
"Our current customers won't notice any change in the business and the customers of Holsom also we'll continue to serve them with the great service and the great products that they're use to," explained Flowers Chief Financial Officer, Steve Kinsey.
The merger is still subject to regulatory approval. Flowers operates 36-bakeries nationwide. Some of their top brands are Nature's Own and Sunbeam.
