ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Police Officer, shot while chasing a suspect, is home from the hospital.

Twenty-seven-year-old Albany Police Patrolman Tim Harvey was released from the hospital one week after he was shot in the lower abdomen.

Officer Harvey was shot about 3:00 AM on June 17, when he tried to question a suspicious man on a bicycle on 8th Avenue. The suspect ran, and when Harvey chased him he was shot.

People in the community outraged by Harvey's shooting offered three thousand dollars in reward money to find his shooter.

Eighteen-year-old Johnny Hill was arrested two days later in Camilla, and is being held in the Dougherty County Jail without bond.
