AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - Greg Blue was an intimidating force in the Georgia defensive backfield in his days with the Bulldogs, before being drafted by the Vikings in the 5th round 2006.
Blue was a late training camp cut from Minnesota last season, before being picked up by the Lions.
The safety appeared in four games with Detroit, totaling nine tackles.
After a hot start, the Lions finished the season 7-9, but Blue has high hopes for this year.
"My expectation every year is to go to the Super Bowl," says Blue. "We got the players to go to the playoffs, we just got to have the right chemistry, and want to more than any other team. I think we'll be there."
Blue had 88 tackles and two interceptions his senior season at Georgia.
