Calhoun County (WALB) - A 27-year-old Albany woman was killed Wednesday night when her car ran off a Calhoun County road and struck a tree.

Georgia State Patrol officials say Taklesia Brown died at the scene of the single car crash. It happened just after 11 on Highway 37, about two miles east of Morgan in Calhoun County.

Investigators say Brown was driving east when she left the road and struck the tree, and there were no brake marks on the road.

Investigators say Brown was not wearing a seat belt.
