Albany -- Darton College picked up a big honor Wednesday, as the school's Athletic Program has been ranked 17th in the nation in by the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators.
Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas won the NJCAA Scholarship Division.
It was a successful season for Darton, as the Cavalier golf team finished national runner-up, the baseball team advanced to the final four portion of the Region Championships, and the softball team won the regular season conference title.
The cross country team won a region championship in its first year of competition, and the basketball and soccer teams also had their usual strong showing.
