Valdosta - A Lowndes County organization wants to make sure you know the issues before you head to the polls July 15th.

They set up a political forum for the 17-candidates running for Lowndes County Commission District One, Sheriff and Tax Assessors races.

With that many people in the running, the American Association of University Women wants to make sure their voices are heard.

"This is a wonderful event and a wonderful opportunity for the community to come out and learn more about each individual race," says Leverne Lewis Gaskins with the AAUW.

"There are several contested races where the candidates want to get involved and get their forum to the public," adds Jill Pope, one of the forum organizers.

The forum will take place at VSU's Pound Hall Tuesday night at 7:30.
