Albany -- Crime scene tape ropes off yet another Albany business. Sunday night, the Express Lane on Gillionville Road became the latest target in a string of armed robberies over the weekend.

Police were called out to the store just before 11 p.m. after two employees were held at gunpoint by a man wearing a red ski mask demanding money. Witnesses say when the clerk attempted to give the armed robber the cash drawer, he demanded the money be put into a plastic bag. He then fled on foot with undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators interviewed the clerks and reviewed in-store surveillance video to develop leads that will hopefully point them to a suspect. But right now, it is unclear if this armed robbery was linked to at least 3 others in Albany in just the past 48 hours.

The suspect is described as a black man, 6'2 to 6'3, 260 pounds. He was last seen wearing white T-shirt and red ski mask. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 229-436-TIPS or the Albany Police Department.
