Lowndes County - Lowndes County Fire Chief Jim Fielding has been fired.
But due to a personnel policy, Lowndes County leaders say they can't say why.
According to policy, that information won't be released for another 10 days.
We do know Fielding was fired after a three day suspension.
The county can not comment on why he was suspended either.
They do tell us they will hold a meeting Monday to determine who will act as an interim chief until someone is hired for the job.
They hope to have the position filled in 30 days.
Fielding has been fire chief in Lowndes County since 2000.
