Tallahassee, Fl. - The Florida State Seminoles are counting on catcher Buster Posey and the rest of the lineup to lead them to the national title at the College World Series.
Six Florida State batters are hitting .400 or better in the postseason.
If coach Mike Martin needs to go to his bench, he has more offensive firepower with hitters like infielder Jack Posey.
Posey has two hits in the postseason and says he will keep himself mentally and physically ready should be called to play.
Jack Posey said "Just staying in the game. Watching the pitchers when the come in. If somebody is going down to the bullpen, see if he is a lefty or a righty.
Watch them warmup pitching all the time and try to pick up something special or something different about his arm release or something like an offspeed pitch."
Florida State opens the College World Series Saturday at 2:00 p.m. against Stanford.
Georgia plays Miami Saturday night.
