Albany - Two boys are charged with arson after playing with matches.

Fire investigators say an 11 and 13-year old set fire to some pillows near a utility pole in the 700 block of Mobile Avenue.

Dry, windy conditions spread the fire quickly to a field and the utility pole.

Both boys are charged with third degree arson.

"Obviously the act itself, they set something intentionally on fire, it's up to juvenile authorities as to where it goes from here but we've done what we needed to do," says Albany Fire Chief James Carswell.

The fire cause about a thousand dollars in damages.
