Albany - A woman who worked to keep kids in school has died. 51-year old Lynn Borders was found dead in her home on Monday. Borders was the director of the school advocacy group Communities in Schools.

Chief Assistant District Attorney Greg Edwards served as chairman of the board.  He said, "Lynn Borders was a very hard working person. She was instrumental in the ongoing activities of the communities in schools program and she will certainly be missed."

Borders died of complications from medical conditions. She had diabetes and neuropathy. The family has requested any donations be made to Communities in Schools at 515 2nd Ave, Albany, GA 31701.
